Art Club with Ms. Jeanette: Creation for Destruction!

hands working with clay

Art Club is going to start a new series of projects called “Creation for Destruction!” This series of activities will explore creating just to create! The works we create will not necessarily be to show off because we are going to let them all go in the end!

Many people avoid making art because they feel inadequate or that their art isn’t “good.” But here’s the thing: humans don’t make art to show it off. We make art because we are human! We have things to express! We have relaxing to do and fun to have! With these projects, we will not be worried about the end product but instead the process of creating, accepting, and letting go.

Please join us Friday at 12:00 for our first project in the series, Clay Crush. Please prepare your clay ahead of time according to the recipes below:

Make Your Own Clay

2 cups baking soda

1 1/2 cups water

OR
