Please see below for messages from our staff to you.
Ms. Rosiey:
- March 13, 2023, is a Learner Free Day.
- We are still taking enrollments for this school year as well as next school year. If you know of anyone who is interested, please send them my way.
- Learners, please bring your computers daily!
- Learner-Led Conferences will be held on March 17, 23, and 24.
- School IDs are mandatory. Please bring your ID every day.
- Off-Site Agreements are still available if you haven’t filled yours out. The agreements need to be signed and turned in if you wish to go off site. This is for the safety of all. No agreement means you cannot go off site for lunch.
Mr. Moody:
March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (D.D.A.M.). This nationwide event raises awareness about the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities and addresses the barriers that they face. In 1987, President Reagan proclaimed March as National Developmental Disability Awareness Month to focus on the potential of citizens with developmental disabilities to work, contribute, and enjoy their lives. For educators, this is very important for us to be aware of so that we can have a plan to provide all the necessary support and resources to assist every learner in the pursuit of equity and inclusion.
Mr. Twigg:
Welcome to another fantastical week! As a reminder, our first Learner Ambassador Meeting will be held Thursday during Flipped Time. If you have ideas for Spirit Week, come to the meeting and voice your ideas!
Ms. Kim: Guide:
Happy Monday, learners and families! During my service learning class, learners have been exploring why volunteering and community service are important to their overall educational experience. By volunteering, learners can get real, hands-on experience that will teach them so much about the world that a book cannot. Are you trying to find more ways to get involved and give back to your community? If so, read this article to explore the different ways you can get involved with your community!
Ms. Marian: Guide:
Welcome to another Marvelous Monday!
Last week was cold, windy, rainy, and snowy. It was fantastic, and you had a little extra time to spend at home. This week, please take time to complete the work from last week that may still be undone. Please submit your assignments to the Google Classroom. This week I am helping learners specifically with some of the past math assignments that are not complete. You can log in with me during Flipped Time and take time to understand the missing pieces. You can do math! I am ready and willing to help. Whether you are an on-campus learner or learning from home, believe that you can do math, and feel free to log in with me if you are having concerns.
I am working with many learners who either learn from home full-time or are learning from home some days. Please pop in to see me in Flipped Time. I’m on Zoom! Meeting ID: 882 9053 3901 and pass code: MsTC. Get help, and get work submitted with me. There’s no need to be lost or confused. I am here every day to work with you. Remember that completed school work equals attendance. Just being there does not equal attendance. Showing up equals understanding and knowledge.
Ms. Jeanette: Guide:
Happy Monday! It is time to start the next section of our project! By now all teams should have done the following:
- Completed your research log.
- Submitted your experiment design.
- Set up your plants.
- Designed your team logo.
As we go forward, you will be recording measurements and data, creating and analyzing graphs, and increasing your ability to communicate scientific results through writing. Please make sure to complete all Google Classroom activities and skill builders so that your project can reflect your growth and understanding. If you need support, see me or Ms. TC during Flipped Time.
