Hello, Families and Learners!
This is going to be a busy week. We are excited for our open house on Thursday! We are also meeting with the graduating seniors to talk about all the fun end-of-the-year events! Here are some additional updates for this week:
- It’s Spirit Week! Monday is Cohort Day. Tuesday is Pajama Day. Wednesday is Anything but a Backpack Day. Thursday is Meme Day. Friday is Character Day.
- Spring break is April 10-17. School resumes on April 18.
- School IDs and laptops are mandatory when you are in the studio. Please bring your ID and laptop every day.
- Off-Site Agreements are still available. The agreements need to be signed and turned in in if you wish to go off site during studio hours. This is for the safety of all. No agreement means you cannot go off site for lunch.
Mr. Moody:
This is the time of the school year when we would like to introduce SCOIR to our 11th graders. SCOIR is a solution for learners, families, counselors, and colleges focused on finding the right fit through a unified college search and planning network. SCOIR is committed to transforming the college-going landscape to favor every learner by delivering intentional, collaborative solutions to expand college access and improve learner outcomes. Here at Empower Generations, we assign each learner their own SCOIR account so they can take control of their college search process and prepare to navigate their futures. Please encourage your 11th grader to take the Find Your College Match quiz, and we’ll help you find the colleges that are the right fit for you.
Note: When you receive an email from SCOIR, please open the email and follow the directions. This will be your initial invitation to join SCOIR.
Mr. Twigg:
It is officially our Spirit Week! Dress up to the day’s themes to show your school spirit! Don’t forget our grand opening is on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM!
Ms. Marian: Guide:
It’s a Miraculous Monday, and we are going to have a marvelous week! I thoroughly enjoyed my time meeting with families this week. Thank you for spending your energy in our Learner-Led Conferences. It is so necessary to come together as a team to support our learners. Thank you!
The online learning community has been very consistent about coming in and asking for help. I am meeting with and talking to parents/guardians and learners, and it is so great to get to know you. If you are learning from home and need assistance, accountability, or just a friendly face, we are all in Zoom and happy to get to know a new friend.
I am working with many learners who either learn from home full-time or are learning from home some days. Please pop in to see me in Flipped Time. My Zoom meeting ID is 882 9053 3901 and the pass code is MsTC. Come get help, and get work submitted with me. There’s no need to be lost or confused. I am here every day to work with you. Remember that completed school work equals attendance. Just being there does not equal attendance. Showing up equals understanding and knowledge.
