On July 1, I was honored to become the new program director for Empower Generations (EG). I had nearly a decade of experience in education, having taught English and served as an administrator for four years before accepting this new position with EG. I’m looking forward to embracing the responsibilities of this role.
Working in education has always been my passion, and I wholeheartedly embrace Empower Generations and our philosophy. My goal is to help EG grow in the direction that will best suit the learners, their families, staff, and even the community, all while staying true to EG’s roots. Over the past nine years, I’ve worked in several charter schools, and I will apply my knowledge and experience to this new journey at Empower Generations while learning and embracing the mission and vision we have for our village.
I am a product of teen parents, and I have attended some of the most notorious schools in Los Angeles. Despite the negative statistics I’ve endured, graduating high school at the top of my class, earning my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, and currently completing my dissertation to earn a Doctorate in Transformational Leadership are only a few of my accomplishments.
I am committed to inspiring our learners to do their best and reach new heights.
