Important Leadership Update

Leadership Empower Generations

Dear Families,

We are so proud of our learners and how well the school year has been progressing over these last few weeks. We have worked together to create systems and norms for our new space and are coming together as a community. Our workshop cycle is going well and we’re working toward our next Presentation of Learning. Our seniors are working on applying to colleges, researching careers and creating their senior portfolios. Thank you to our amazing families who continue to support us in so many ways. It is truly appreciated.

We are writing to inform you that unfortunately our Director Malaka Donovan had to take an unexpected personal leave. She will be out through the end of November. David Williams, former iLEAD Lancaster Leadership Resident from iLEAD CA, will be here to support our staff, learners and families in her absence. Mr. Williams has been a supporter of Empower Generations since its first year, working with learners to help them achieve excellence in our program. He is happy to support families and learners and work with staff and community to foster a safe and productive learning environment for all learners.

Please continue to reach out to our office with any needs or questions.  We will continue to support you. We appreciate your understanding.

With gratitude,
Empower Generations Staff
