Photos: Giving Celebration a Hit with Learners & Children
Empower Generations, in partnership with El Nido Family Centers, Toys for Tots and CHIPs for Kids, hosted a special holiday celebration featuring Santa Claus for 33 Empower Generations learners and their kids. The event gave pregnant and parenting learners the opportunity to select a gift for their children and wrap the item on site.
The learners’ children got to meet Santa and take a Polaroid with him, then decorate a frame to keep the picture.
“Our learners are courageous to prioritize their education in life. They work hard to balance school, parenting, life, and often work,”said Program Coordinator Allison Bravo. “This holiday celebration and the opportunity to give their children a special gift is incredibly validating to the work they are doing,”
