Please see below for messages from our staff to you.

Ms. Rosiey:

Education is for improving the lives of othersHello, Families and Learners!

Here are some updates for this week:

  • March 13, 2023, is a Learner Free Day.
  • We are still taking enrollments for this school year as well as next school year. If you know of anyone who is interested, please send them my way.
  • Learners, please bring your computers daily!
  • Learner-Led Conferences will be held on March 17, 23, and 24.
  • School IDs are mandatory. Please bring your ID every day.
  • Off-Site Agreements are still available if you haven’t filled yours out. The agreements need to be signed and turned in if you wish to go off site. This is for the safety of all. No agreement means you cannot go off site for lunch.

Mr. Moody:
March is Women’s History Month, which is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987.

Mr. Twigg:
Hello, everyone! We have begun our preparations for Spirit Week! Results from our Ambassador / Coordinator survey have been posted in your advisory Google Classroom. We need help preparing for Spirit Week! If you’d like to volunteer and help, please attend the Student Body Meeting on Thursday during Flipped Time!

Ms. Kim: Guide:
Happy Monday, learners and families! During my service learning class, learners have been exploring why volunteering and community service are important to their overall educational experience. By volunteering, learners can get real, hands-on experience that will teach them so much about the world that a book cannot. Are you trying to find more ways to get involved and give back to your community? If so, read the article here to explore the different ways you can get involved with your community!

Ms. Marian: Guide:
This week I had the opportunity to get to know more families at Empower Generations. Thank you for taking my calls and providing an environment for me to work with your learner(s). I become excited with each of their triumphs. This week I will be available on Zoom, and if a parent needs to check in with me, you are welcome. I am assisting with school work, Schoolytics, and helping to facilitate device changes and managing the Google Classroom.

I am working with many learners who either learn from home full-time or are learning from home some days. Please pop in to see me in Flipped Time. My Zoom meeting ID is 882 9053 3901 and pass code is MsTC. Come get help, and get work submitted with me. There’s no need to be lost or confused. I am here every day to work with you. Remember that completed school work equals attendance. Just being there does not equal attendance. Showing up equals understanding and knowledge.

Ms. Jeanette: Guide:

Happy Monday! Section 2 of our project is up and running! Please remember that Plant the Moon is a double class. It counts for both math and science, so you need to stay on top of your assignments! If you need support, you can see me or Ms. TC during Flipped Time. We love to help you connect with the material. Upcoming topics include the following:

  • pH scale
  • Biogeochemical Cycles
  • Graphing Linear Equations
  • Quadratic Functions
  • Have a great week!

Mr. Troy: Care Team
We have just started a new project cycle. The ending of this cycle will coincide with the start of spring break. Do your best to not fall behind so that you are able to enjoy a work free break! Have a great week, everyone!

Let’s Stay Connected!
