Meet David Borkes, Community Outreach Coordinator at Empower Generations!
This week we’re shining the spotlight on David Borkes, affectionately known as Mr. D, our new Community Outreach Coordinator. Mr. D comes to us with a unique perspective, having first experienced our incredible iLEAD network through the eyes of a parent. He is passionate about building bridges between our school and the wider community, and he’s eager to find new ways to support our learners. Let’s learn some fun facts about Mr. D!
Q: Please tell us about your background and how you came to be at Empower Generations.
Last year, my children started their journey at iLEAD, and I was immediately impressed by the structure and culture. The warmth and dedication sparked a strong aspiration to become part of the team.
Q: What are you most excited about as you enter your role at Empower Generations?
Cultivating partnerships within the community and finding additional resources for our learners.
Q: Please name three to five fun/interesting facts about you.
- I have three children.
- I love the holidays.
- I am a horror movie fan.
- I love cooking and swimming.
- I grew up in New Jersey/New York.
