Hello Empower Generations and Innovation Studios learners and families…
I would like to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year. After a long year of distance learning, we are eager to have learners back on campus. Our goal this year is to make sure every single learner feels safe, supported and connected. We really want to know who each of them are and what they need to be successful this year.
Our Guides have been collaborating together to create engaging projects while the rest of the staff has been collaborating about ways to include community members, learner voices, clubs and more.
In addition, as you know we are in the midst of creating a new school space. We are excited about how the space will support new projects and pathways for our learners.
Thank you for being a part of the Empower Generations/Innovation Studios family.
With Gratitude,
Malaka Donovan

Have a GREAT start to the school year and we’re so glad you’re here!
Ms. Tanya (Guide)
I would like to introduce myself as one of the new guides at Empower Generations as a 9th & 10th grade English teacher. In terms of my background, I received my Bachelor’s in English from the University of California, Merced and finished my teaching program at CSU Bakersfield. Before starting at Empower Generations, I was a substitute teacher at Eastside High School and was also a Student Teacher at Littlerock High School. Fun fact: this will be my first year teaching my own group of students! Therefore, I am super excited to start the school year and get to know and work with all of you. I am certain we will have a lot of fun this year and create lots of memories together. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or need help on anything. Let’s make this a great year for learners!
Ms. Kim (Guide)
