Meet Ms. Savannah, Instructional Specialist at Empower Generations
We are thrilled to introduce Savannah Straughter as the new Instructional Specialist at Empower Generations High School. Ms. Savannah brings a wealth of experience and a heart full of dedication to our school community. Let’s get to know Savannah!
Q: Please tell us about your background and how you came to be at Empower Generations.
Ms. Savannah: I have loved working with children, including as a pre-K teacher, preschool teacher, nanny, teacher’s assistant, and behavior technician. I’ve completed 18 units of Early Childhood Education, earned my AA in Kinesiology at Antelope Valley College, and volunteered at Antelope Valley Hospital in the pediatrics department. I am currently finishing up my AA in Early Childhood Education and plan to continue furthering my education. While advancing my career, I came across an opening for my position at Empower Generations and am happy to join the team.
Q: What are you most excited about as you enter your role at Empower Generations?
Ms. Savannah: I’m most excited about building genuine relationships with students and staff and having a positive impact on students’ lives.
Q: Please name four fun facts about you!
Ms. Savannah:
- I LOOOVE Cinderella.
- I have a fur baby (chihuahua) named Adys.
- My favorite color is purple.
- My favorite fast food place is In-N-Out.
