The Proof Is in the Pudding—Wait, the Portfolio!

Empower Generations Social Emotional Learning

Ms. Jeanette’s advisories have introduced personal portfolios via Google Sites! These portfolios are for learners to build over their four years with Empower Generations. Each learner has an individual Google Site where they can link and store their best and most beautiful work! The portfolio is divided into three main sections: Home, Goals, and Competencies.

Under the Home tab, learners can personalize and express themselves. It’s an introduction to who they are at this exact moment and changes with their growth.

The Goals tabs houses ILPs, learning logs, and competency summaries for all four years of school. This is where learners will track their progress toward goals and graduation.

Finally, the Competency tab is divided into six domains (International, Leadership, Entrepreneurial, Arts, Design Thinking, and Advisory). The domains are then separated into individual competencies. These competencies are the skills built in our interdisciplinary workshops. Each competency holds evidence of learning at all four depths of knowledge.

We invite you to explore the portfolio with your learner! Ask how it is going and see what work they have started to save in their educational journey.
