Learner of the Week: Kulani
Learner of the Week. Meet Kulani and Kayden. Kulani has straight A’s in her online classes and is zooming ahead of schedule. She is taking a Yale University African American History course and studying Anatomy/Physiology through the lens of infant development.
We have some fantastic learner projects happening. Learners are off to a great start in their online courses and beginning to design the courses they are self-designing with the help of our qualified Guide. On Friday, learners will work with a professional events planner to plan a Halloween Baby Party. Through this workshop, learners have the chance to build communication and collaboration skills, learn planning, drafting, editing, and implementation of a project, and connect with their children in a positive way.
We are so grateful for an outpouring of interest to volunteer with our program and apologize for the delay in getting started. We are hosting 2 Volunteer Orientations next Monday from 12-1pm or 5-6pm. Information in both sessions will be the same. If you are interested in volunteering or helping in any capacity, please make every effort to attend one of the sessions. Children are welcome to attend with you.
